Their love is fake. Unlike my feelings for the washer and dryer in my apartment. |
More of the blushing bride coming right up.

Some events inspired a walk in my new neighborhood tonight. Specifically a sunshower and a full-on double rainbow. While I didn't actually leave the building before dark, the FEELING of these two beautiful blessings were all around. Here is some photographic evidence of the post-rain glory:
You really should have seen this in-person. Next time, maybe. |
I love a wet street under sunlight. |
Rainbow #2 is shy but there all the same. Like a beacon for Walgreens shoppers everywhere. |
You can see why I couldn't stay inside too much longer. So I hiked up my skirts and walked up and down Grand Avenue past the fancy-gal shops hawking $89 tank tops and $349 dutch ovens and $WhoEvenKnowsHowMuch designer eyeglasses. I ended the journey at my dear friend, Walgreens, where I purchased some on-sale Kleenex, dark chocolate and a small gift for this lady. Can't tell what it is though, don't want to spoil it.
Health Tip of the Day: Leftovers can be your friend! Just when you think "I have a pizza and ice cream store across the street", you should also remind yourself that you made some sort of black beans and rice thing last night. Then you can add a salad and some meatless chipotle-lime "chicken" strips that were on sale at the co-op. If you mix the right ratio of mayo and Cholula together, you can call it a "dressing" to drizzle over the whole thing. Now you have a meal that would fit right in at your neighborhood Chili's but it won't make you sick later. Aside from about a tablespoon of mayo, this whole meal was pretty darn healthy. The Diet Dew I drank with it is not pictured for obvious reasons.
52% salad is the right way to build the foundation for this light meal. |

ISLAM
I have done it! I memorized Surah Al-Maun!! Alhamdulillah (all praise is due to Allah). It took a little while because there were some days off for the move, but overall I think it was about two weeks. Not too shabby. If I apply myself and don't totally flake out, another four before Ramadan should be no sweat. May Allah make it easy for me.
Question: What are some of your favorite short surahs that I should learn next?
Yay! I love your new place. And presents, I love those too!
ReplyDeleteHmm, what surahs do you already know? I like al Humazah and al Zilzilah. Al Tin and Al Shams. I needs to pick back up on my memorization too.
ReplyDeleteI could use all of those. Here's what I have (sadly):
